Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world and is the most dominant religion of the Indian subcontinent.
Hindus had numerous Gods, and we know how religious and devoted Indian people in their faith are. Just like when a news about a baby girl born with a “trunk-like” protrusion on her face spread like wild-fire. Instantly, the newborn child become the center of attention and people in India begin to worship her as a Hindu God.
This is the traditional image of Hindu God Ganesha.
And this is the girl born with “trunk-like” protrusion on her face.
The girl who has not yet been named was born in a village in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India last March 26, 2015, ANI reported.
Indian people believed that she is an incarnation of the elephant-head God Ganesha. People around the village and from far places are now flocking the home to see the ‘divine’ child, giving offerings.
Since the news came up, visitors that swarmed the place never subside. They even nicknamed the child ‘Lord Ganpatni’ meaning ‘Ganesha’s wife’.
“Women and children from the village sang songs and danced their hearts out to express their pleasure at the baby’s birth.”
Rajani, the baby’s aunt told ANI, “My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl at 7:00 a.m. and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha. Everybody is saying she is an incarnation of the God. This is why whoever hears about her is coming here to get a glimpse of the baby and are making whatever offerings possible,”
The baby girl came from a poor family she’s the fourth child of Rambabu Sarvesh and his wife Banna Devi. The father, Mr. Sarvesh earns 250 rupee ($5.17) per day as a vegetable vendor, hoping his daughter’s birth will bring the family better luck, the Times of India reported.
Despite of the protrusion on the girls face, she is perfectly healthy. The doctors say “This protrusion is a result of gene mutation which can be caused by malnutrition and increased pollution levels. And if the family chooses, they can go for a corrective surgery for the child at a later stage in life. ”
