Jesus “Prince of Peace” made by Akiane Kramarik at age 8. She’s a child art prodigy, born on July 9, 1994 at Mount Morris, Illinois from an Atheist parents. Her Mother, Forelli is a Lithuanian immigrant educator. Mark, Akiane’s father is a Chef and dietary manager is from Chicago. She refers to her underwater birth in “a shack” on the edge of a cornfield. “Our family had no money, no friends, no relatives, no television or radio. Our life was quite simple — long walks in nature, open conversations, and hands on explorations of knowledge,”
Growing up in an atheistic environment with almost nothing, her atheist parents were stunned when their three year old Akiane Kramarik began talking about God. Her surprised parent were so shocked because she grew away from media influences and the outside world. Because of the vivid and intense description of her vision and dreams about heaven, Jesus, and God, her parents realize that it didn’t come in the outside world. The dream and vision of God was some beyond their reach and understanding.
When she was four, she started to draw using whatever medium she can use. Without someone to teach her, she continued to draw. At a young age her art is way beyond her age and she said “God is my teacher”. She continue to progress in her craft and when she was eight years old she wanted to paint Jesus according to her vision. It took so long and a lot of prayers to find the perfect subject for her painting. Then one day a carpenter came at their front door looking for work. Akiane finally found her perfect model in painting Jesus. The carpenter hesitates at first because he felt unworthy as a model for Jesus. Eventually he agreed but wish to remain unknown.
The “Prince of Peace” painting of Jesus took a total of 60 hours to paint with model sketching. Akiane meticulously work on the painting to create a powerful impression. What’s so amazing about the “Prince of Peace” is that Colton Burpo says that this painting of Jesus is the closest to the real thing from all the picture showed to him.
Colton Burpo is the child in the bestselling book “Heaven is for Real”. It is a story about a boy who went to heaven and came back. Both Akiane and Colton are mesmerized by the eyes of Jesus. Akiane says, they were like no other colors that were ever created and the nearest she can compare is sapphire hue. While Colton says the colors of Jesus eyes are blue-green,
As Akiane grows older, some of her visions and dreams start to fade away. It’s the same as Colton Burpo, as their innocence start to fades their dreams and visions from their childhood also fades too.
“My art is only a representation of what I see — Jesus’ glory is beyond any description!” See below
“Our future is our present. If we take care of it, we take care of tomorrow. The start and finish line is love. I know I am just one person, but I wish that with each brushstroke and with each message I could bring hope to those who have lost it.”
