On a cold December in Fresno California. Jenine-Lacette DShazer noticed a sad homeless man with a white dog held up in his arms. When the woman started talking with him, what she found out was heartbreaking.

His name is Clifford James Herbert.

Once a farm worker and the owner of the mechanic shop. He lost his job in 2006 after becoming disabled due to complication from a heart surgery and tracheostomy.

Soon he became homeless and now he is dying of cancer with only a few weeks to live. However, the man was mostly concerned about baby – his loyal dog – and pleaded to Dshazer to find her a loving forever home.

Herbert said he rescued the dog from an evil man who had been beating her with a flashlight. “She’s my whole world” “She’s my bestfriend, and she protects me” Herbert said.

Jenine started a GoFundMe page to get Herbet and Baby off the street.

Now the man is staying in a motel room while Baby just got adopted and will even have a little girl.

Herbert’s greatest wish to make sure Baby is going to be ok has been fulfilled.

While this story is truly heartbreaking, it also shows that there are genuine people out there, Ready to give a hand. Jenine-Lacette was able to help a man and his dog in the most beautiful way possible.
